Frustrated and Stressed's picture

If I hear the phrase "Oh wow" one more time, I am going to loose it!! It's SD16 condescending way of saying..."really, that's stupid". They way it comes out of her mouth I just want to turn around and say, yes, this is they way we do things in this house and no they are not the same as your BM's house so get over it. SD16 asked last night if we do presents on Christmas Eve night or Christmas morning...I nicely said Christmas morning because Santa doesn't come until after midnight and he has to deliver presents...because the boys are young enough they still believe. I get the "Oh wow" response....I asked what do you mean oh wow, her response well we do it at midnight on Christmas Eve back home. I again brought up Santa and she snidely says well I guess Santa comes to our house earlier then....GRRRRR. And if I hear Jesus Christ come out of her supposedly good Catholic girl mouth again. She sounds so uneducated when she says JC this and JC that or JC father...I am guessing BM uses that phrase all the time. At least the super whiney "daddy" phrase has ceased to exist because she realized that it does nothing....she is 16 not 6.

That would be so irritating. I hate attitudes like that in anyone.....it's so condescending.

ETA: These blogs about teen skids and their attitudes give me anxiety, and my SD is only 6! I know she's going to be exactly like this very soon.....

We get the "Whatever..." My SS16 said it the other day in the car when DH was talking to him about school. He promptly pulled over and opened SS door and told him "get out and walk until you can talk to me without the "FU". The look on that kids face was priceless. He was all over himself to apologize (we were 20 miles from home). Guess he wont be saying that again! Wink
