OT update- I got a Chrismas card from Tacoman and his daughter!

I had really amazing experience early this year (http://www.steptalk.org/node/180319) when God chose me to be his food and comfort delivery person for a complete stranger. Yesterday, I got a Christmas card from that stranger (I'll call him Tacoman) and his daughter. Tacoman is doing much better. While he is sad about his son not being here for Christmas, Tacoman has regained his faith that his son is in a better place. His daughter thanked me again and thinks that the taco incident is what helped her dad regain his faith. I know it sure humbled and amazed me! I was sooo glad to hear they are doing well and I thought some of you might be interested in the update as well.

I remember this story. I'm so glad he's doing better. Obviously your kindness meant a lot to him! It's nice to be appreciated for a kindness rather than have it come back to bite you in the ass, like most of us experience every day in StepHell!

It is nice to be appreciated but really that experience did so much for me that it feels silly for anyone to be thanking me!

It definitely was a blessing! It was a moving experience for me and I am glad others are moved by it as well.

So sweet....I agree God is the greatest thing ever and I am so happy He used me for this work.

You made a difference to them, helped him find his strength again.

Keep listening, I do believe in those divine interventions. Smile

I am listening but I have the feeling that was a once in a lifetime experience. You never know though.

No angel here...my halo is bent and dirty for sure. I think that is the most amazing part of the whole thing. I am far from perfect or saintly, yet God still chose me to do this work.

Yosemite, you rule!! I think that touching people's lives in a positive way is what we are "here" for and being able to do it is such a blessing! Smile

What a beautiful story of God speaking to you and what happens when we listen.  This made my day.  Thank you for sharing.
