Makes me wanna laugh

Just a little something I happen to notice when I go to Walmart on
Fridays after work. I will be going around shopping and whatnot, and I always see some hapless man (EOW dad, I'm assuming) there with a kid or two, asking them what they want, what they like, what they want to eat, probably making himself broke. The kids stand there, with iPod headphones in, looking at this poor guy like he has 2 heads. The kids couldn't care less, they look like they would rather be somewhere else, and this poor man is tying himself up in knots trying to get their approval. It's kind of sad to watch.

Do you know a non custodial dad in Walmart when you see one?

I see the weekend fathers of young ones at the grocery store on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Dad looking all overwhelmed, kids a bit sleepy eyed and still in pjs. Sometimes one shoe on and one shoe not.

Then there's the fight in the cereal aisle and Dad grabs one box and announces 'you all will get this one and you WILL eat it'. LOL. I always smile and try not to laugh. At least the Dad is trying. I avoid Friday evenings shopping so the guys you see are probably the guy ten years later in life that I see. Yeah, I don't think I'd smile about the kids you're seeing. Though I do admire a father trying to do this stuff himself with his kids instead of automatically a SM will do it for him.

Yeah, McDonald's is a good one too. Lol!

I would have never noticed that before I got with DH.

Heck, I know custodial dads that are like that. Some dads are just helpless/useless when it comes to shopping with their kids.
