"Daaaaaddyy I want 2 costumes!"

onstrike's picture

I am disgusted right now because we were out looking for our Halloween costumes. Sd8 already has one that she will wear, but as soon as we got to the store, the whining began. Dh almost bought her another one. Why the heck would she need or deserve 2 different costumes? Sd8 blew it though. She made dh mad and he refused to get it for her. Absolutely ridiculous the way these dh's indulge their bratty daughters

It is freaking ridiculous, I made a comment the other day to my FDH I said "you always get SD something everywhere you take her" .. his response "Yea I'm pretty good at that" all proud of himself. Wow

My husband has a tendency to buy SD something wherever we go as well. I told him not to do that to our DD when she gets older. I don't want her to be spoiled like SD is.

Ugggg it's so annoying!! SO and I are going to a costume party so we got our costumes and were talking about them. Now SD15 wants to dress up. She won't wear it to school or even go trick,or treating because she's too old. But she's scouring the internet to find a costume :?

For what???? Just because she wants one :jawdrop: :jawdrop: Yeah that's not gonna happen.

DH used to always buy YSD something when we had her on weekends. She was about 8 then. Now she is SD13 and she is asking for things every day! I told her over the summer to stop asking for shit. Every. Night. In MY Room. At Bedtime! She has just had her birthday and asked for things. Then DH got her Halloween costume off of eBay, it's too big, but did either one bother looking on Amazon where you can order any size you want? SD13 wants to be an anime character for Halloween, the one that was on Letterman a few weeks ago. DH goes and orders the mini-skirt schoolgirl outfit the day after he takes SD13 to cut all of her hair off. That night she told us she wanted to be a boy and the next day DH buys her a mini-skirt outfit which makes her look like a sloth because it's too big. The character is Hatsune Miku and her blue hair is four feet long. So there is a wig that goes with this outfit.

SD13 started getting Fs on assignments about 3 weeks into the schoolyear and was grounded. I told DH we were NOT ordering the wig until the grades came up. Of course, since kids get all kinds of do-overs at school these days, all of the grades improved except for one F. Then more Fs came when DH was out of town. I ordered the wig a week ago and they were sold out! Bwahahahahah! It ships from China and I actually received an email from the Chinese vendor asking if I wanted it when they replenished stock. I was hoping it would take until Thanksgiving to get here but it looks like it will be delivered to my office (yes, PLANNED that one!) today. I will keep it there and tell both DH and SD13 that it hasn't arrived yet. I will not even let DH reward bad grades. Too bad!

We were out two weeks ago, when the wig was sold out, and DH took us to three costume stores! I kept telling him, it's an import, no one has it, no she only wants the real thing. SD13 just stood there in a fowl mood and didn't offer up any opinion. That's why the frikkin wig is at my office. She had the nerve to LOOK for a second costume while we were wig shopping, telling DH it was "part of her back-up plan." Um, noooooooo! Thankfully DH said that she should probably stick to the Hatsune Miku outfit that he bought on eBay. I wish that the wig wasn't in stock. She would be livid if DH made her wear that costume without the wig lol.

So, yes, even at 13 years old, they still want things everywhere they go, even if they acted like a little shit two days prior or brought home bad grades. I started telling DH and SD13 years ago that every day was NOT Christmas and to stop asking for and buying things! Ugh!

She said she wants to move out at 18, though. Start working now girlie, you just might make it! }:) }:) }:)
