Sorry, I'm posting here and in family court, but I'd really like some response on this. Does anyone have experience with extremely obviously WRONG things going on, that aren't viewed the same in court?

Got an email today from skids' therapist. It was a forward from their law guardian that SS9 called her upset saying he doesn't want to continue therapy. He said "My mom never told me I can't go" and said he doesn't think she listens to him...or something.

BM refuses to go to these appointments, which DH pointed out to him, when SS9 brought the whole issue up with him tonight.

I'm wondering how can any person think this phonecall from SS9 to his law guardian is legitimate? The child cannot provide an honest, substantial reason to not want to continue therapy. It's clear BM doesn't want him going, and it's clear she's manipulated him into not wanting to go. We have trial in a little over a month. WTH. I hate that the system takes her with any kind of seriousness in this. She keeps pushing and pushing, and it always seems ridiculous, but when we get in that court room, it just feels like there's some curve ball we're missing. Could there be?

You are missing nothing except for maybe the insane tendency for courts to force children to maintain contact with a toxic, manipulative, crazy assed parent.

If courts would actually focus on the best interests of the kids then these types of parents would never have contact with their children which IMHO is the right thing. No kid needs to have court mandated contact with any person that is toxic and noncontributory to the kid's well being.

IMHO of course.

Agreed a million percent, Rags! I lost faith in the family court system a long, long time ago.

Again, I'm really sorry, I don't usually, I was just freaking out and really impatient last night Smile Won't do it again.

Ugh. My only hope is that our judge is actually really down to earth and reasonable. He will hear both sides, I just am flabbergasted by the number of professionals involved with her, that have seen her nonsense, that believe her pity party story--despite the amount of video, audio and written documentation we've got of her being a complete banshee, screaming monster. The good news is the judge is unimpressed when she brings her pity party, crying and twitching to court.
