Ss came home from school Monday and his shorts were hanging down so low that his underwear was hangning out at least 3 inches. He had to keep pulling them up. He was at his mother's house the night before so I asked him why he didn't say that they were falling down. The only answer I got was that they weren't that big when he put them on.
So, the school has a dress code that says your pants must be worn at waist level and your underwear cannot be hanging out at all. In my opinion, that means that he cannot wear those shorts back to school unless he wears a belt. So my husband called and left a message for his ex to either bring a different pair of shorts or a belt for ss to wear back to her house. That was 2 days ago and we have yet to hear back.
Now, we could put shorts from our house on him or a belt from here. The problem is that we don't get our stuff back for months and months and sometimes it turns up lost (I don't understand that because I label stuff, but anyway).
Nothing is ever simple. I get tired of us having to keep calling the ex because she is uncooperative. How hard of a request was it? I guess we will see if she calls tonight. Otherwise plan B will be to put him in shorts from here and call her next week to make sure he wears them back here.
I don't know if she is being controlling, unorganized or just doesn't care about this stuff!!
