Biomom and boyfriend take SS8 quarry-swimming

We just found out last night that BM took SS8 swimming at a local quarry for Memorial Day.
Here are DH and my issues with this:
-BM and her boyfriend both have previous felony and misdemeanor convictions, so it's ridiculous for them to participate in illegal activity now.
-She's basically promoting illegal trespassing to a boy of a very impressionable age.
-Quarries are DANGEROUS! Every year, there are awful stories in the paper of kids getting hurt and killed. These quarries are always at LEAST a 30 minute hike from parking, and then another 30 minutes back into town.
BM had her shared custody over SS8 stripped years ago by DCS for neglect and endangerment. Does this not sound like endangerment?
