Entitlement..Submitted by cornflower on Sun, 04/23/2006 - 11:21pm.my SS12 is a very entitled boy. Nothing I do for him is good enough. I bought him some long sleeve shirts, he complained the sleeves were not long enough, although they were longer than a new one his Dad gave him not 3 weeks prior. Do your step-children ever..Submitted by cornflower on Mon, 04/10/2006 - 6:48pm.say that they wish YOU were their Mother, instead? This hasn’t happened yet, and I hope it never does! But something that happened over the weekend got me thinking about how I would handle this. My step kids could easily be mistaken for my bios. They have both always been quick to point out to strangers that I’m not their Mother if the topic comes up. Welcome to your EOWE...Submitted by cornflower on Fri, 04/07/2006 - 7:20am.Juicy tidbits from the weekend so far and it's only Friday night.. * We bought SD9 2 hermit crabs for her school project, and they are to "live" here. OK no dramas for me even tho' I will be the one who ends up caring for them. You don't have to really look after them much and I was happy to take them on. SD9 wanted to take them home.. and she did for 2 weeks. Should be not big deal, right? Wrong. BB went ape and told SD9 that if the hermit crabs came back to her house again, she would flush them down the toilet. This woman goes from 0 to 100 in one second. All she needed to do was say, "Well darling they need to stay at Daddy's because we can't keep them here." She didn't have to start with the threats straight off the bat. Poor SD9 was quite distressed about it when she got here! I need to get to a lawyer..Submitted by cornflower on Thu, 03/30/2006 - 9:07pm.DH and I have been discussing wills. As we are trying to have children, I want to leave my estate to my children, but HE wants me to split it equally between our kids and his two kids. I don’t think this is fair because then the older two will be 'double dipping' as they will also inherit from their Mother, whereas my/our children will only inherit from ME. Today I bid on a safe on eBay...Submitted by cornflower on Wed, 03/29/2006 - 5:22pm.Two years ago, Sweet (my Dear Husband) found some of my jewellery in my stepdaughter's over-night bag. Since then, various other pieces of my jewellery and other small mementos have gone missing! SD9 has also been known to shoplift. (With her Mother allowing her to keep the goods!!) |
