Father's Day and PAS'd skids

Sports Fan's picture

Okay, I know this isn't a new topic but I'm really unsure how to handle Father's Day this year. Skids have been zoned out for quite some time now. When DH and I first got together BM was helping skids with holidays, birthdays, etc. Of course, back then DH did everything she said so she was willing to do this. It didn't last long. She started helping them pick out horrible cards/gifts and yes, there is no doubt that she knew the cards/gifts were horrible. DH sent her an email and told her she did not need to do it anymore. This was probably 5 years ago now.

Splitting Birthdays

Okay, my BSstb17's birthday is in 9 days. There is nothing specific in our CO regarding birthdays, not BS's, not mine, not BD's. Since our divorce, I have tried to work with BD and allow him some time on BS's birthday, a lot of times splitting the day in two, each of us getting half. Three years ago we had a big blow up because something came up on the actual day of BS's birthday. My employer gave me tickets to the luxury suite at Fenway Park for a baseball game. These are $500 each tickets.

OT - Psoriasis?

I've had what I will call a "redish "blotch" on my arm for about two months. Not very large, maybe the size of a dime. It is dry looking and slightly raised. It doesn't itch but skin flakes come off if I touch it. At first I thought that maybe I had burnt myself. I don't think that is it since it's not going away. It isn't getting any bigger but it also is not getting better. Did a little googling online and it seems to look like the pictures of psoriasis. I have no experience with this at all.

OT - Contact Info

The website being down got me thinking that I had no other way to contact anyone on here. I know that some of you are in contact with each other via other ways. If there is a Facebook page or some other way that you communicate, I would love the info.

Maybe we could create a place to share emails, etc.

I know some of us like being anonymous but if you want to share private messaging is always an option as well.

Does visitation end at 18?

Sports Fan's picture

Does the stated visitation end when the child turns 18 or graduates high school? There is no wording on this in my CO or DH's CO. In our state CS goes to 21 but I can't find any guidelines on the visitation. Since skids are PASed out and only come because they are made to I'm wondering how much longer that will be. I do think they will just stop coming soon since DH has now left it up to them but I was wondering what is the legal part of it.

If anyone has experience or knows anything about any laws regarding this, I would appreciate the information.
