I truly don't know what drives my SD13 anymore. I think she has changed the color of her hair at least 4 times in the past couple months. Whenever she is at her BM's, she buys hair color and dyes her hair. Her father and I don't approve for many reasons, mainly because of her age and the damage she is causing her hair. DH told her he does not want her coloring her hair, but what she does at ther BM's is her business. However, don't expect us to clean up the mess you created by not listening to us.

My DH and I had a talk with all the kids this week about continuing to find food and drinks in their bedrooms. Repeatedly, we have told them this will not be tolerated, but they manage to sneak. So, we let them know that from that point onward it will be considered an offense that will be punishable by paying a monetary fine. Everyone understood what we meant, and were given the opportunity to remove all current evidence that could be in their rooms and start out with a "clean slate." Fine....well maybe not. As I was bringing clean laundry to SD12 bedroom yesterday, I kicked a empty "pringles container" as I was walking! Wow, I couldn't believe it. So, I picked it up and placed it on the kitchen counter with a note attached....SD12----I found this on your bedroom floor????

Do you ever notice that when your skids or kids want to participate in any extracurricular activity it ultimately is a commitment of your free time as well? Well, I think in this case we mothers should have a right to say....NO THANKS...Because ultimately it will be you who takes them there or has to pick them up. So, we should be able to make that choice, not have it shoved down our throats.

SD13 has a cell phone now, and to me it seems to be taking control of her life. At first, I thought her obsessiveness with it was due to it being new, and that would wear off eventually....NOT. She is a text messaging FREAK! I don't understand why teenagers have a mental block when it comes to actually having a conversation on the phone instead of text messaging. Can someone please explain it to me?

My SD 12 got straight A's for the last semester, and her school honors all the students by inviting them along with their parents to a recognition breakfast. So, of course SD was excited when we found out, and let BM know about the breakfast weeks ago, hoping she would come. Of course, HD and I would be there. BM decides to attend, and let SD know. Until, last night....she decided that it was too early for her to get up and drive an hour to make the event.

I just had a bad episode a couple days ago with a migraine. I only get a couple a year, but when they do come they are usually bad. I had extreme sensitivity to light, and eventually nausea set in. Then yesterday, I was reading an article in a magazine about triggers for migraines.

Well last night DH and I had a long talk about life and our goals and hopes for the future. This was a way for me to sort of cleanse my harbored feelings regarding some situations involving the skids, so it was good. I decided that it was a good time to let him know that BM is still trash talking us on her blog. So, he listened as I told him what she had said, and then he started opening up to me about their marriage. I have heard many stories over the years about the demise of their marriage, but this time was different. The thing that bothers him the most is the fact that they remember the past very differently. He feels sorry for her because she has made the truth into a facade.
