Sita Tara's blog

I posted a little of this on GC's post, but thought I'd toss it out there on my blog in case anyone (Thanks Bella!) was thinking of me.
We have been without power since yesterday at 5pm thanks to a Hurricane Ike inspired wind storm (only 50 plus MPH for us compared to what the real hurricane victims got. TONS of damage and the kids were off school today (well yesterday technically by the time I post this.)

Well, I did tell him to, but he's ok with that.
One - to SD's school. They contacted us about cutting last year, so we felt it was our responsibility to give the teachers/counselors a heads up. SD tends to downward spiral and should she flip out at school, hurt herself, or do anything stupid (like her stunts last year starting a false inappropriate rumor about a male teacher, and holding up a sign to the high school auto shop boys who meet at the middle school offering them BJs) this way the school can help us help her, rather than be in the dark as to her behavioral issues.

We went to a Children's Hospital with SD at 11 o'clock last night. She cut herself again. This time with a razor. I was out with the boys for our local $1 theatre's 50 cent Monday night movies (for three or more people.) We planned on going to a lot of them with my sons gift card there he got from a baseball hit a thon fund raiser, but though the movie only cost us a buck fifty, the large popcorn, and three drinks maxed out the gift card!

She is FINALLY referring us to a psychiatrist! (Exhaling deeply.)
I told her about the breakdown, about the sneaking out at 2am, about her refusal to acknowledge she deserves to be grounded, about her indignant "I'm not the one who's sick" attitude, about her rages, then giggly giddiness.

Cable guy just left. Duh. A cable was loose on the splitter behind our bookcase. I am such a dork.
Anyhoo, back on. Oh- and DH finally talked to BM and she claims that she only told SD she can't take her THIS Wed, but plans to next Wed. Since canceling all EO weekend visitation, BM has also been canceling her Weds...EO Wed to be exact. I think she's weaning them both off of seeing each other.

What is-
Two weeks?
Or
What is-
8 days spent with SD since school let out and started again?
Or
What is-
As long as it takes Sita Tara to pose the question in the first place?
Take your pick.

Well, we aren't even through the first full grounded week yet and SD is already acting like we are horrible parents for giving her consequences. Also, she is angry and indignant toward us, because DH told her he won't get around to buying her any new school shoes or clothes (she just got just about a new wardrobe, shoes included before her summer trip to CA.) But those are Nikes and she THINKS he promised her Pumas (when I was out of town they picked her up new soccer cleats and he said they'd see what she got when they went school shopping. But if you don't say NO to SD, but rather, "we'll see" she files that into her brain as though you said, "OMG YES! I can't wait for you to have PUMAS for school!!!!" She is also demanding new jeans (she has a ton of them already) and wants an Adidas back pack because "all the other girls on the soccer team have one so it's kinda like part of our uniform." To which we replied, "Oh! Is Adidas sponsoring your team now? In that case FANTASTIC! They'll be supplying those backpacks, and shoes and uniforms then, won't they?"

It all started when BM called SD to let her know she wasn't feeling well and was therefore not taking her tonight.
Then, in light of my neighbor informing me of the plan to TP my house that I interrupted the other night, AND the fact that same neighbor has now grounded her daughter for sneaking out to meet a boy, then bringing same boy into her bedroom through her window, THEN SD making sure I knew all about the daughter giving said boy oral sex AND how fun it must be to sneak out (yes she really said that to me)...

We got a puppy tonight. Well, we are going out of town this weekend so we aren't picking her up until Sunday when we get back. She is so amazingly adorable- half German Shepherd/half Airedale. Quite a handsome combo, and hopefully will have reduced shedding due to terrier influence (hopefully- you never can tell.)

Hind site is 20/20. That's why this site is so important, so perhaps we can help others through rough parenting times, places we finally made it through. For instance I am potty training BD 2 1/2. She is not at all interested. But I've been here twice before and remember the same frustration I am feeling now. Therefore I can remind myself this too shall pass, and though I will never forget how frustrating potty training was for my sons (especially my oldest and continued most stubborn son) I know that eventually they do end up putting on underwear and giving up their attachment to diapers.

MY turn to Ya Ya!
What a journey. Both meta and physical. And I'm not just talking for those of us who made it there. Hold onto your seats ladies...(And Steve!) This is going to be long...

This probably isn't the best time for me to be leaving.
SD called from BMs tonight. BM told SD she got a new job and will no longer be taking her EOW visitation. Then evidently BM went to her room for the night and SD was able to call us.

Does anyone else here have endometriosis? And rectal symptoms?
I thought I was having hemmoroids or fissures (both diagnoses of the past) however today I finally did a search on all my symptoms and the resounding info that came up was endometriosis that has gone into the rest of my pelvic cavity.

Because once again...
No shit, there I was. About to accept a menu from the waiter when DH said, "We have neighbors!" I glanced to my left to see, seated right beside us, BM and SD, just finishing their afternoon lunch/dinner.
